Wake Up Sleepy Head

Here’s a good article for those of you reading this blog through some sleepy eyes.

A recent study by the National Sleep Foundation found that out of 1,000 people surveyed, participants “averaged six hours and 40 minutes of sleep on weeknights, even though they estimated they’d need roughly another 40 minutes of sleep to be at their best.”

The article comments that:

It seems people are also trying to squeeze in more time for themselves and their families, even if it means less sleep.

So you can compare yourself, they found the average wake time to be 5:35am, followed by about 2 hours and 15 minutes at home before going to work.  They also found the average bedtime to be 10:53pm.

  1. Thanks for sharing. I just blogged about being sleepy this morning. I seem to be staying up later these days and waking up earlier too, just to get more done!!! Americans work way too much.
