Finding Jesus in the Old Testament

Darrin Patrick and company at the Journey Church here in St. Louis recently started a new series titled, The Search: Finding Jesus in the Old Testament.

I’ve been dug down for about 4-6 months now studying the Old Testament Historical books and am very excited to now see someone else trace Jesus through the Old Testament (including the OT Historical Books).

The link above will get you to all of their extensive study guides as well as an Introduction to the Study and an Overview of Study Methods.  I’ve taken a quick look at what they’ve put together and it appears extremely beneficial and thorough.

In addition, you can catch each week’s sermon from their website here.  I listened to the sermon on Noah late last week and will just state that it is remarkable.  I truly appreciate Darrin’s style of preaching.  He doesn’t side-step anything, and he doesn’t just tell you what you want to hear.  Rather, he brings the gospel and cuts through all of the crap and lays it out in ways that ordinary people can grasp.

I’m really looking forward to following along with this study and am extremely thankful for the generosity of the Journey for making these resources available online.  I invite you to follow along as well.
